If you cant find a place to live, this apartment would be a good one. But i would rather lived under a bridge than staying here.
The first couple months i moved in my apartment got robbed. It got robbed so fast, even superman couldn't robbed my place that quick. I left the apartment for two hours and when i got back, the door was busted. I told the management but they just told me you should have an insurance. I told them that if the door was not made ou of plywoods i dont think those robbers could get in. i called maintenance that day so they can fix the door, they didn't show up till the next day. I wasnt able to leave the apartment and I wasn't able to get some sleep because the door doesnt shut close. till now my roommate is still waiting for the door to be replaced(they temporarily fixed it the next day after the incident) ..... now about a month later, there was a new tenant moved in next to mine, and she almost got robbed while she was in the apartment. Good thing she was able to put something behind the door before the robbers could break the door down. for some reason the robbers knows when a new tenant just moved in. hmmm!!!! i smell a conspiracy!!!!
now, before we moved in management promised that they would replaced some of the broken stuff that wasn't fixed yet. they installed the new counter top but did secure it. i mean they just layed it the on. they said they would be back to secure the top but didn't.... there was a leak here that was reported a long time ago but they didn't show up to fixed it. about the AC, each room has one. But when you use the master bedroom you cant use the other bedroom's AC (vice versa) because the whole electricity will shut down. Roaches, anyone''' well if you loved insects then you'll love this place, calling my place roach motel is an understatement. this place would be perfect for discovery channel if they want to study how roaches live.
now parking, its pretty much a first come first serve basis.... i stop parking on the street since i saw one of the tenants car got totally F-up early in the morning.
I would probably moved back to my parents house if i didn't find a new apartment. So, to the new tenant that wants to moved in to this apartment , i hope you will have a better luck and more better experience than what i haved.

well seems like you have had lots of problems there, let me guess you don't live there anymore, but from the sounds of it at the end your last sentence clearly states that you do! It's funny how you hate the place so much, but yet you still continue to reside there! They must be doing something right! Personally I live at the Norteast Apartments, I have resided there for over 5 years, and honestly I have a very nice apartment, the rent isn't too bad and I have a pretty spacious apartment. Don't get me wrong I have had some maintanence issues as well, but they were pretty much taken care of. I like my neighbors, and enjoy living there. You know it's people like you who make it bad for other renters!

Did you ever think that perhapse some of the familys in the northeast apartments can't afford to just pick up and move at the drop of a hat? I along with this person also have had nothing but problems with this place. Honestly though I don't see how he made it bad for anyone to live here. He/she is simply stating their experiences which along with mine have been horrible.It sounds to me as though you might be a member of the staff there rather than an actual tenant...

To the person who said i was still living in that roach apartement, Sorry to disappoint you but i left as soon as my contract was done (end of 09/2007). You must be in the payroll of whoever manage that roach infested place that you called Northeast apartment. but the f-up thing about it, is that you people (the management) doesn't feel a little bit of remorse of how those people live in that place. And i still think the robbery that happen in my place is a conspiracy.

I would also like to add that on the day i moved in my cell phone was stolen. It was sitting on my window ledge. I went down stairs to get another box. When i left to go downstairs none of my light fixtures were up, then as i returned my cell phone was gone but my light fixtures were up. So unless there is a really respectful thief, i too also think that a member of the maint. crew is stealing things. Also i have had other things disappear from my apartment after maint calls have been made. I used to live in Algon arms and i too also had a problem with bugs/roaches and the heat not working. The apartments are laid out well but everything else is terrible. Most people who are still living there are very unhappy with the place, and now that the rent went up they are even more unhappy.
