Old Quaker Building is just that OLD

This place is bragging about renovations that have been going on for YEARS, and to be honest if you rented an apartment before they started, yours doesn't get the fix up. Luxury this place is not.
Unfortunately since the Dominus and Left Bank are not luxurious either -- hardwood floors' No, laminated floors. Marble counter tops' No, fake plastic crap. Come on University City, don't claim to be something you are not!
Paying over $2000 for the Old Quaker is a waste!

I moved from a non renovated apartment to an upgraded with hardwood floors, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and it wasn't any where near $2000. I think the place is the best kept secret in town.

Now moving from a non-renovated unit to a renovated one is not an option but a REQUIREMENT. They won't renew leases in the perfectly fine non-renovated units. My place is awesome and I hate to move just to pay more for less cabinet space. Whooppee. Still love the building though.

service declining over last few years. Great place a few years ago. Now unbelievably high tenant turnover. They force very high rental rate increases every year. 5 years ago I would have recommended Old Quaker to anyone. . . and did. Now . . . no way. Don't move here - very overpriced.

I moved to Old Quaker a little over a year ago and enjoy it immensely. And we have one of the few apts that have yet to be renovated! Nevertheless, anytime we have an issue it's tended to immediately. Great staff. Great service. Great overall experience. Thanks Anita, Stephanie, Tom and Muhammad! :)
