good points and bad points..decide for yourself

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
For us, one franklin town was the best deal for the price. being a little further from the center of the city means a walk across the very breezy vine street but everything is still within walking distance. The apartment has been safe for us but the parking garage across the street is a different story--multiple bikes were stolen from the garage this fall and the management only shrugged their shoulders. No one keeps their bike there anymore. The car fortunately has not been a problem. And the parking garage (being away from the middle of the city) costs $145/month.
The amenities are nice when they are working but they are not reliable (probably my biggest problem with the place). The shuttles which people use for shopping and for getting to work do not run everyday. You get a one day notice that the shuttle will be out of service the next day. The pool had a period of repair but it is nice when it is open. The gym is convenient.
There have been times when the management has been very helpful and times when you can't get a hold of anyone. I expect that maybe that's the same other places. The front desk is very nice.
We don't hear the neighbors at all which is nice but if they are repairing a unit near us, we definitely hear that. We also hear lost of city noise including the helicopter from the nearby hospital and all the maintenance they have been doing on the building next door.
The unit we have is definitely one of the older ones so the kitchen is small and outdated and the bathroom tiles are breaking but you can pay more for an upgraded unit. The rest of the unit has plenty of storage.
hope this was helpful.
