Location is the only good thing

This place is spacious and has a reasonable gym, but the management staff is absolutely the worst. Hafiza, the concierge is always on the phone and very rude. She is never willing to help people. Packages get lost frequently. Elevators don't always work. Brenda is the only one that actually is attentive. Arlene Stewart is extremely rude and slow at helping the tenants. Most tentants have a complaint about Arlene. The maintenance staff is nice but very very slow. You can not allow the staff to come in by themself, because theft has been reported. Although it is claimed to be a secure building, the staff lets anyone thru without ever checking. The perks that originally came with this building are now cut. Parking is accessible and there is a convenient grocery store downstairs. If the management staff cleaned up their act, I would stay and maybe recommend. That is how bad the staff is in the building.

Lived here?

I would first like to say that I have lived here for a few years now and plan on renewing my lease. Before I moved into One Franklin Town, I looked at numerous apartments throughout the city as I am sure most residents do. I based my decision on the following things: cleanliness, affordability, amenities offered and location to my employment. Which all were better than average throughout the city. Over the last few years, these things have not changed. In fact, I have noticed that all of the elevators were renovated which during that time was an inconvenience, but now has approved the look and speed of the elevators. I also have seen them invest in the replacement of carpets and wallpapering of every floor in the building as well. Though I might have liked the lighting a little better in the old light fixtures I do appreciate them making these various changes. I do understand that everyone???s experience is sometimes different. But for me I thought I needed to take the time and express my feelings in regards to the embarrassing stickers that my guests had to see so childishly displayed throughout my building. The frivolous complaints (Venting of washer/dryers(WHEN THERE ARE OTHER ONES LOCATED ON THE FIRST FLOOR), equipment not working in the gym sporadically, and pool being worked on) that I see listed on here are something that you as a consumer should have researched prior to moving here and should expect in a building which could have about one thousand people in it. The credit card machine being an exception, which I will agree has made it difficult for me in making my payment because I travel often for work and like getting my frequent flyer miles. In regards, to the management staff other than dropping off my rent and putting in a service request (which normally gets done with in three days) I do not have the time to spend socializing with the management staff. As it seems some of you must do. But my experience has not been a bad one. Last year they also had a few nice little social functions for the residents at different holiday times. However, while I was there I heard people complaining about how they could have something additional. I just think that whoever, this person is that has the time to turn a nice building into a college dorm by posting stickers all over because they are not happy with something someone said to them. You should just MOVE!!! As people stated it is not an inexpensive building and if I disliked the building that much I would not be paying them any rent. It wasn???t all bad never knew of this site until you posted it in the building. I would hope that other residents who felt as I do or do not would speak up and express their feeling about our home. Thank US. Airways flight delay for giving me time to post this. |

Sounds like "Anonymous" works for management. I agree with the original poster. I am embarrased to live there. While I too think it was immature and in poor taste to place the stickers around the apartment - I hope that management comes to this site (although it appears they already have with the last post) and recognize that people are not happy (assuming they care, of course). Most of the perks advertised when I moved in are either gone or not dependable. As for moving out - that is an expensive cost I should not have to pay simply because management cannot get their act together. (Also, I have a lease that cannot be broken) They simply do not care. The leasing guy (Kevin is his name I think) is absolutely terrible. Most of the woman that work at the front desk have a chip on their shoulder and treat others with disrespect and hate to be interrupted from their phone calls or reading materials (except Brenda). I certainly do not have time to "socialize," as anonymous posts above, at the apartments as I have a time demanding job - but expect when I have a problem or a concern that it be addressed in a decent period of time.
