In college, I always had a roommate and the room was small so I didn't have big demands for a place. I came across Parktowne apartments because it was close to my med school. I regret living there every single day. You can find much cheaper and better places to live, even in Rittenhouse Square area. LIVE HERE IF YOUR ONLY OTHER CHOICE IS THE STREETS

******Management claimed they never got my not-renewing-the-lease letter, fined me 2 month rent, and got a collection agency to charge me $1480 and withheld my deposit money.

1) The apartment is really poor shape. Pretty much every Wednesday or Tuesday, there is no hot water because they are "testing" the water system.
2) Apartment is often dirty and rundown. They don't replace the carpet like ever. There was puke on my carpet although I didn't notice it during the walk-through
3) Parking is horrendous, can I repeat horrendous. Unless it's Sunday morning, good luck my friend. I have circled for half an hour only to give up and park on the streets and have to wake up at 6AM to put quarters into the meter or move my car.
4) Management office is incredibly rude.
5) I got my car towed as well...for what reason' They refuse to talk to me about it either.
6) Wall is paper thin!!

Funny, but not really... I had the same EXACT experience. This rating is well-written and true, from the mysterious non-receipt of my letter of nonrenewal and huge fine, to the nonexistent parking and towing of my car with the PTP sticker on it. The towers said management had called to tow it, but then they refused to talk about it. And, as described, the staff is so incredibly rude that you almost can't believe it (with exception to one poor guy). Sorry to hear others are having this experience, too.

As if they don't make enough money on the outrageous rent and utilities for such a dump - they must get a cut on all the cars they have towed - mine included. If anyone is seriously considering this place - you can't say you weren't warned. The number of negative reviews on this site is all you need to think again. Save yourself time and money and many, many headaches - DON'T MOVE HERE.
