Management Can't Keep Record Straight

Aside from being an awfully under-maintained place, the most outrageous thing about Park Town is that the management can't even keep the record straight. I signed a 18-month lease, yet they recorded in their ledger as a 2 year lease. So when I moved out at the lease end after following up the move-out procedure, they insisted that I owe them 6 more months of rents. They didn't even bother to check the lease agreement, and immediately turned it to their collection agent to harass me. I'm determined to set the record straight and fight them to the end.

yes... this is very similar to what happened to me. they extended the lease beyond the original terms for reasons that are unclear to me, in spite of the fact that i gave them 60 days notice (see previous post). than they claimed that i didnt turn in my key, and so they just assumed i hadnt moved out (even though i did turn in my key). i am also determined to fight them over this... good luck to you
