Anyone out there that has any insight about the East building' Bugs, Roaches, monthly cost of utilities, etc.' Are they common, what should I be expecting as a new tenant.

Also, I moved in here thinking that I would have at least updated appliances, but to my surprise I have wall oven that looks like something pulled out of 1969. Its old and ugly, same with the dishwasher. Do most people have these old appliances, or am I just a lucky one that didn't have my apartment "updated'"

Any insight would help and make me feel better. Thanks.

Yes they are common. As a new tenant expect to have any concern you express ignored by mangement and for your rent to rise astronomically to pay for the outdoor beautification designed to lure in unsuspecting new tenants to replace current residents who are moving out in droves.

All I can say is ... good luck. We are all in the same situation. I still have 3 months to go and I can,t wait to be out of here. Living at Park Towne is a nightmare

NOTHING is NEW about this place. Good luck getting new appliances or anything modern anytime in the next 5-10 years. PT is too busy with their $18M renovation. The new tile surrounding the elvators.. looks like something you'd see in a shower. The new orange carpet.. doesn't match a damn thing and looks like puke. Oh and be prepared to be harassed by construction workers / security / etc.. as long as you are female and walking, you will be harrassed. Sooooo glad to be gone!

I live in the East building now. I had a new stove and fridge when I moved in, but almost everyone I know has really old dishwashers and wall ovens. I was happy at PT my first year so I renewed my lease for another year - what a mistake! This past year has been a very frustrating experience with the constant construction, super high utility bills, constants water shutoffs, and generally louder neighbors in the East building too. I'm so happy I'm leaving this month! Good luck to you.
