Avoid Park Towne at all costs!!! This has been truly one of the worst experiences of my life. I live with one other person in a 1 bedroom at Park Towne but I'm moving out in a week.

To start, Park Towne lies. They lie, keep lying, and lie some more. When first signing the lease we were assured that:
a. The University Shuttle operates every hour (WRONG! Shuttle operates at 7:30 or 8:20 in the morning and comes back at 5 or 6. This was really incovenient for a 12 pm class.)
b. Each apartment will be billed according to the utilites they use. (WRONG AGAIN! Park Towne incorporates what is called a ratio utility billing system where they take the total utility bill and proportion it out to the square footage of your apartment then multiply for number of occupants. Being a water and energy conserver, this billing did not benefit me at all and I had no idea about it until half way through my lease.)
c. Maintenance requests are processed in a quick, efficient and professional manner. (WRONG WRONG WRONG! Quick' Please... our gas oven spit flames at us and it still took 2 weeks for someone to come and fix it. Efficient and professional' No way Jose. We had a burst pipe one time and maintenance workers entered our apartment. Here my girlfriend got out of the shower to find two guys in our bedroom. She only had a towel on and they didn't even leave at first. They honestly didn't think they were doing anything wrong.)

On top of this, the staff there are very unfriendly and don't know what's going on. In face they completed replaced the whole management and lease team in the middle of my lease. When I tried to argue my displeasures, the new staff threw up their hands and basically said "I didn't do it".

Don't live here. Don't recommend anyone to ever live here. It's a nightmare. Impossible to park. Ugly to look at (they've been doing construction for our entire lease). And it is run by a bunch of unprofessional and unknowledgable staff.

What Building did you leave in? That is pretty bad. I have to argee with all that is posted on this site, however this one is pretty bad. Best advice for anyone looking at this place... ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT EVERYTHING. BE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING THAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR AND HOW UTILIES ARE BILLED. I do believe though that most high-rise apartment buildings are billed this way. Also, know that the MODEL apartment they are showing you wil nothing like the apartment you will be getting. There will, guarenteed be something wrong with it. Either really old appliances or a disgusting looking bathroom, or something else. Its an ok place to live, but don't be Naive. Any place with over 900 ocupants in each building is going to have problems. (When we first moved into our apartment, we had a toliet problem and our garbage disposal did not work. I called Maintenance for a couple of days irrate, and fixed the problem within those 2 days. However, I walked into my apartment one day and a wall was painted in our apartment! Apparently they were supposed to paint my neighbors apartment, NOT OURS. A little nerve-racking since i gave no one permission to enter our apartment. Best advice i have for those living here that have maintanence issues.. KEEP CALLING, EVERYDAY. They cannot ignore you. -- and more importantly, document everything (so they can't screw you and say we never got the message or work order!).

VERY similar experience with maintenance... Leaky bath tub - and I don't mean a drip.. I mean gushing water 24/7: 4 weeks to fix. Broken microwave: 2 months to get a new one, then the new microwave breaks in 2 days after making POPCORN! Are you f'in kidding me?? Clogged sink: 6 months, no service. Tried Draino and other methods myself, but hard to fix sh*tty piping. Beyond happy I am gone...
