Don't bother

This apartment has it's ups and downs. I pay a decent price for a studio apartment in the Art Mueseum area and I have a parking spot for my car which is reasonably priced compared to other area parking garages. I will say the amenities are pretty good...the pool is great during the summer and I do enjoy the work out facility.

The bad part about this place is the outdated apartments which I do believe they are in the middle of updating. I will say that I can't stand the amount of construction. If I was told last year when I was renewing my lease that they were going to be tearing the entire complex apart I wouldn't have renewed. I work nights so I can barely sleep during the days with all the noise from construction. I think if you work a normal schedule it wouldn't be so bad but not if you work anything that might be slightly off from the norm.

Maintence is horrible. I put in request after request for my bathroom sink that couldn't be used and it took them 3 months to get to. I had to use my kitchen sink for everything in those months. I have had no problems with bugs (cockroaches) in my apartment, but I do see them occasionally in the hallways which is a bit disturbing!

Security for the most part is pretty good. I have no complaints with the security officers in my building. They are wonderfully nice and very approachable!

My final complaint is that as someone who cares for the environment it seems that this place DOES NOT AT ALL!!! They offer no recycling option...I take my recycling to my boyfriend's apartment in order to be environmentally friendly. I also have noticed that they have newspapers sitting out in the morning which is great but all the left overs just get thrown away. With all the talk about going green lately it seems like this apartment complex is stuck back in the 1950's (when it was built) and does nothing to help contribute to at least trying to save the environment!

As far as the moving out process I have yet to experience that. We will see if I have more to say when that happens in a couple of months! Hope this helps someone!
