This review was so funny LOL, but it's sad at the same time cuz I know this stuff is true. Hang in there....I had to quit my lease early, but it was money well spent, I'll tell you that! I'm so glad I'm not living there anymore!!!!!

This sounds like a vendetta. There is so much nice things at Park Town. The pool is wonderful, the views are the best in the city. Service is a bit slow but effecient. Buy a parking space you cheapskate, still 200 is best in the city.

Yes, the pool is nice, but that is the ONLY nice thing about the place. Don't buy a parking space, not worth it! Register your car in PA, and get a city parking permit for $30/year. You can park anywhere in Zone 6. There are parking spots around the building, and on Winter Street across the street. Zone 6 goes all the way up to Arch street.

I could not have said this better....Kudos to the reviewer! Btw I'm adding #24 to this, hope u don't mind.
#24. Unless u are an expert mice catcher/ exterminator, please do not contemplate living here. I stayed on the 17th floor (I know I mentioned this in another review), and I personally caught 5 mice with a combination of a baseball bat and glue traps! For the love of GOD please don't live here!

"a bit slow" = you call the supposed "emergency service line" and nobody shows up at all. my toilet was busted up for a month and i had to call and call to get someone to fix it. One of my friends got trapped in her apartment-- her front became stuck and would not open-- and it took them 3 hours to show up. hmmm. guess its good a thing there wasnt a fire

#25 - Even if you park LEGALLY around the buildings, you still run the risk of having your car towed and then have to find a way to Manayunk to get your car back - oh yeah, only after paying $175 to Todd's Towing - how much of that do you think goes back to Park Towne? I'm still waiting for the pictures that Park Towne Mgmt said they would give to me to prove I was a few inches over the painted curb line. Did I mention that I requested the pics back in Sept. 2006?? So Anonymous - buy your own parking space. Some of us living here are doing our best to get through college while working a couple of jobs just to pay for this run down place. I have lived here for 2 years and would never recommend this to anyone - young, old, professional or student. I have had to put up with a leaking kitchen sink the ENTIRE time I have lived here. Management only responds when I threaten to hire an outside contractor and then bill Park Towne. Even then, the repair only lasts a week or two and it is back to water in the cabinet under the sink - not to mention the resulting mold. The wall oven in my apt. did not work for the first few months I moved in - again, no immediate response from the mgmt office.
I didn't move here for the views or the pool. If that is the best thing that can be said about this place - look somewhere else. You'll be glad you did.

2nd Post From The Top - No one is being cheap by not paying 200 dollars for a garage spot. With the amount I pay for a TINY studio ($1000)...in a building where the staff doesn't care about you, the appliances are old as sin and where wildlife is the second tenant...200 bucks for parking is ridiculous. Plus, if they lowered it to under 100 bucks, they could easily fill it up, and make more money in the end.
EDIT:
#26. I am pretty sure when you do have rodents in your room, you get to be the one to pay for the extermination of them, which is messed up.
#27. The WEST building's entrance has been turned into a tacky strip club entrance (LED blue, red and green lights that flash? For an apartment building that houses a ton of older people? Who are they trying to appeal to?)
#28. There is no vomit and some sort of liquid substance on my floor's NEW carpet that has gone totally ignored. It smells moldy. What a nice thing to smell when you leave your apartment in the morning.

#25 - I'm still waiting for my pictures also. They towed me on my first night here, & I deff. wasn't touching any lines. I requested the pictures from mgmt back in August 2005. I just payed to get out of less, that's how bad it is here.
