Has anyone else who lives at Park Towne had this problem in the gym' I've got bites all over my arm from that gym. At first, I did not know what they were but my co-worker told me they were Chigger bites. I'm just curious if I am the only one. I know it was that gym because when I stopped going, I did not get anymore bites.

Too funny, chiggers, really? My roommates and I are in there everyday and none of us have had any "issues". Maybe it's your detergent.

Do Not Rent From AIMCO
My experience at CHESTNUT HILL VILLAGE (CHV) has been eroding for some time now. One of my major complaints has been with the unprofessional behavior and attitude of the AIMCO staff. The staff fails to address and resolve issues in a timely manner. For instance, my monthly utility bill almost tripled under their third party billing company ISTA North America. When I approached the AIMCO staff with my concerns in January, I was immediately dismissed. I was told the meters would be checked in 4-6 weeks. I was dissatisfied with the lack of resolution to this issue. I approached the staff numerous times over the next 3 months and it wasn??????t until the new tenants association got involved, was my problem addressed. It should be noted that it took more than 10 weeks for my meters to be checked and ISTA is no stranger to improper billing. ISTA was involved in a water and sewer billing dispute with 30,000 Oregon residents. Another disturbing incident involved resident security and safety at CHV. AIMCO staff lied about the existence of Project Transition ??????halfway house.?????? Several Project Transition clients would wonder aimlessly around the complex asking residents for money. In addition, the AIMCO staff would cancel planned community events without notice. I arrived at several events only to find a sign saying the event has been cancelled. No reason for the cancellations or a rescheduling of events ever occurred. With that said I would NEVER recommend living at Chestnut Hill Village or signing a lease with AIMCO, NO MATTER WHAT THE OFFER IS! I WILL NOT BE RENWING MY LEASE WHICH ENDS IN SEPTEMBER.
Attached you will find two articles about what has happened here at CHV. Are these same things happening at your AIMCO property? Anything sound familiar? Give a call to the Chestnut Hill Local.............Do not let AIMCO or ISTA rip you off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This chiggers person is another perfect example of how many residents here are very immature. First, if you truly believed you were experiencing some sort of medical disorder, you should either go see your doctor, or do research online. Typing "chiggers" into google took me two seconds, and provided me with a wealth of information such as this from wiki:
"In the United States, they are found mostly in the southeast, the south, and the Midwest. They are not present, or barely found, in far northern areas, in high mountains and in deserts."
Also:
"Chiggers seem to affect warm covered areas of the body more than drier areas.[27][16] Thus, areas covered by socks and shoes, behind the knees and around the groin are often trouble spots..... The most effective way of removing chiggers is by washing the affected areas with warm water and soap. This must be done as soon as possible after exposure or possible exposure."
I am an educator, so find it my duty to provide you with some general life advice. First, passing comments from a coworker are not a professional medical assessment. Second, do some research yourself to see if what they told you could be true for your own health's sake. Third, do some research before writing a review about it.
Finally, take a shower after using the gym, as per the wiki article, if you wash yourself you will remove any chiggers (however, my point from the quotes is that chiggers is very unlikely to be your problem).
For others reading this article, I recommend that where ever you are using a gym: always take your own anti-bacteria wipes in case the gym as run out. Always use a towel to wipe your sweat instead of your hands, and wash your hands and face with soap and hot water immediately after finishing your work out.

You don't have Chiggers. Park Towne is plagued with bed bugs. Someone must have brought bed bugs in on their clothes. God help you because they are next to impossible to get rid of. Park Towne was sued a couple of years ago for not taking care of a bed bug infestation. Good luck, your going to need it.
Lastly, you can bet the people in the management office are the one leaving the positive reveiws.
