They raised rent 200 a year, they charged us over 500 to leave in cleaning costs, they made my girlfreind cry thre times. Parktown and aimco suck and should be avoided at all costs.
Free parking is fricken annoying, and only available at strange times.

Do Not Rent From AIMCO My experience at CHESTNUT HILL VILLAGE (CHV) has been eroding for some time now. One of my major complaints has been with the unprofessional behavior and attitude of the AIMCO staff. The staff fails to address and resolve issues in a timely manner. For instance, my monthly utility bill almost tripled under their third party billing company ISTA North America. When I approached the AIMCO staff with my concerns in January, I was immediately dismissed. I was told the meters would be checked in 4-6 weeks. I was dissatisfied with the lack of resolution to this issue. I approached the staff numerous times over the next 3 months and it wasn??????t until the new tenants association got involved, was my problem addressed. It should be noted that it took more than 10 weeks for my meters to be checked and ISTA is no stranger to improper billing. ISTA was involved in a water and sewer billing dispute with 30,000 Oregon residents. Another disturbing incident involved resident security and safety at CHV. AIMCO staff lied about the existence of Project Transition ??????halfway house.?????? Several Project Transition clients would wonder aimlessly around the complex asking residents for money. In addition, the AIMCO staff would cancel planned community events without notice. I arrived at several events only to find a sign saying the event has been cancelled. No reason for the cancellations or a rescheduling of events ever occurred. With that said I would NEVER recommend living at Chestnut Hill Village or signing a lease with AIMCO, NO MATTER WHAT THE OFFER IS! I WILL NOT BE RENWING MY LEASE WHICH ENDS IN SEPTEMBER. Attached you will find two articles about what has happened here at CHV. Are these same things happening at your AIMCO property? Anything sound familiar? Give a call to the Chestnut Hill Local.............Do not let AIMCO or ISTA rip you off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://chestnuthilllocal.com/issues/2009.04.16/news1.html http://chestnuthilllocal.com/issues/2009.04.30/news2.html

Dude, they only charge if you leave your place a mess, which, in looking at your spelling indicates your level of classiness. How did they "make" your girlfriend cry "thre" (last time I checked it was spelled "three")?? And free parking being annoying, duh. Look at how many people live here!!! At least they do offer free parking. And one last thing, Parktowne has an "e" at the end of it. With all that being said, why should people trust your opinion??

Here's my advice to you - my husband and I were charged an exorbitant amount for cleaning services as well. We scrubbed that apartment and steam cleaned the carpets before we left - it was in move-in condition. They tried to tell us we should have had a walk-through and that they were charging us to repaint. Well we had been previously told there was no charge to repaint and it took us literally 6 or 7 phone calls to schedule a walk-through because no one answers their voicemail. We walked down there in person ready to be rude if we had to because the service was so poor. We didn't have to be rude - they took all the charges off once we got there. It's the shadiest place ever but if you approach them with a little bit of attitude in person, you can get things accomplished. Good luck with all of this.

I was charged cleaning costs because I left my place a mess. What a rip off. This place should cater to me because I pay their salary...

You pay their salary? Your an idiot. I am pretty sure if your loser ass didn't live there they would still get paid. They should have charged your dirty ass to clean up after you. I don't like Park Towne as much as the rest and would never live there again. But your comment shows how much of an idiot you are!

It is the worst place ever. Please don't even think about moving in that building. I have seen big roaches in the hallway and elevators. The service staff is very rude and incompetent. It smells bad and is also very dirty.
