It is hard to find the words to truly explain this place. Sometimes it is so ridiculous all you can do is laugh, or else you will surely cry. The only "pro" is that some of the desk staff is great, and by some I mean about two. I had a party to celebrate getting out.
The building went through two managers while I was there, both equally as horrid. The current manager Karen, is real rotten. She is one of the rudest people I have ever met, no concept of how to run a building, and completely out of touch with the fact that the tenants pay her salary. As soon as you sign the lease you are treated like garbage. I could hear the people above me cough. The water shut off several times a week. This is done without any notice on behalf of management and they write your questions off with "it's an emergency" without even looking up from their desks. I kept tape recordings of each time it shut off.
There is no air conditioning at all. The laundry room is not nearly as large as it needs to be given the size of the building. I saw cockroaches in the hall on numerous occasions, and have photos. You can simply drive by and see that the grounds are not taken care of: trash everywhere and they rarely mow the grass. I ceiling leaks as well as the refrigerator. The pipes constantly erupt with air. Any building inspector with half a brain would order that place to shut down.
In short, this place would be fine if it were less than half the price. But it's not. It is by far the worst building in the Art Museum area. Spend a little more for one of the better buildings, and you will get a lot more for your money.

I was thinking of renting there but becos of your and other posts, I'm having serious reservations. Maybe you are in the 9th floor apartment I saw last week where the renter posted signs discouraging me from renting. I appreciated the honesty and had a good laugh.

Dear residents of 918-
I just wanted to let you know your apartment has been rented to someone who already lives in the building and is downsizing from a two bedroom. They are very happy with the building.
