I like it - huge amounts of space

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004
almost 800 square feet for a 1 bedroom apt at a low price - can't complain. it's an older building, but fairly well maintained. The residents are very friendly, quiet, and a slightly older set (few children). At one time this was probably an upscale building; i love the hardwood floors and tiled bathrooom. Garage parking is available. Septa rail station is within 100 yards of the building. However, since it's older it doesn't offer the same amenities as newer buildings... no dishwasher, garbage disposal, A/C. There are some reoccurring problems with the building - almost weekly somebody gets stuck in one of the elevators, the buzzer system for the external doors is inoperable at times, you might have to endure an occasional cold shower. Additionally, my apartment had a slight cockroach problem when i moved in - a set of traps cleared up the problem in a week. If you can live without a dishwasher and garbage disposal, and have a window A/C unit, then i reccomend it - if only for the space alone.
