Pelham Park Apartments

Nice...but slowly going downhill From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 1/17/2005 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004   The good: Large apartments, quiet and friendly community, great location in nice neighborhood, close to R8 (5 min walk if you're slow). Pretty grounds with seating areas and an opportunity to help in the flower garden. The bad: Slow maintenance service. You really have to keep on them to get anything fixed. Multiple phone calls, visits to office, and keeping a paper trail (tell them you're doing so) is what it takes. Sometimes it's just not worth it ( e.g. I can tolerate a leaky faucet) and you live with a bit of inconvenience. Some units have a nice view, many have an ugly view of the parking area or garage roof. The ugly: Seems there are some cost-cutting measures being taken...there's a noticable downturn in overall maintenance and basic services/utility delivery. Misc: Lately there's been a rash of crime in the outdoor parking lot. If you live here, spring for the indoor parking.
