When we first moved to Pelham park it seemed perfect, but the emphasis is on SEEMED. As soon as we moved in, we realized that our neighbors on every side of us could hear everything we said and did. The walls are so thin you can hear details of every goings on in the apartments around you, and they can hear you. A voyeur's dream, but a regular person's nightmare. Further, don't think for a minute that neighbors take this fact into consideration when assessing the levels of noise they are hearing in their apartments - they take every opportunity to complain, as many of them have been living in lonely silence for years and years. So, if you want to have a relationship with someone, especially in the bedroom, find somewhere else to sleep. If you play a musical instrument, find somewhere else to play. If you are alone and have given up on life, Pelham Park is the place for YOU!!!

I was just woken up by the loudest, most horrible grinding construction noise coming from somewhere in the building. At least I can take solace in the fact that I'm not the only one hearing the noise. The walls are so thin, I'm sure the entire building was woken up also!
