I agree with the last review. This building has gone down hill since the agreement was made to use some of the apartments as student housing for the Art Institute. The building is loud and dirty. It is like living in a dorm all over again! It is embarrasing to invite my friends or family over when you have hoodlums hanging out in front of the building and in the lobby swearing and carrying on. The rent here is expensive, and then you have to consider that you will also be paying at least an additional 300-400 dollars a month for utilities (the heat and air is WAY expensive)! To be paying this much, I don't want to have to put up with the noise, dirt, and foul language of the students. There have been more false fire alarms since they moved in, as well.
I once lived in a dorm, too, and it is fun. I don't necessarily think the kids are at fault for what has happened, although they should know better at their age (plus, these are very pretty apartments, and they are LUCKY to not be crammed into a small dorm room with no air-conditioning somewhere else)! They live here with their friends, and they are going to have people over, and it is going to be loud. Unfortunately, the property manager made a very poor decision in allowing this to become student housing. I know many people, including myself, will probably not renew a lease here because of this reason.
