Fantastic renting experience

We love this place! Our unit is gorgeous, with a fantastic view! All of the appliances are very good (HUGE bathtub!), we have in-room laundry, and the common areas (lobby, rooftop terrace, common room) are lovely and well-maintained. The people who work at the desk are helpful and very friendly. It's a great building if you have dogs - it's a bit extra per month on your rent ($35), but the close proximity to grass is hard to beat in Center City. We have double-paned windows that insulate from heat and cold and really good central air (anyone who has rented in Philly knows that this is not always the case). We love this place so much that we are purchasing a condo here (there is a 6-month rent-to-own program wherein 6 months of rent are applied to the price of the unit).

re: noise - although I cannot hear my neighbors unless they are doing renovations (which has happened a couple of times), there is definitely some city noise. It's a high traffic area during the day so you can hear cars and voices (even up on the 10th floor), and there is a hospital nearby so there are ambulance sirens and helicopters now and then. During the summer, there is noise from concerts and events in Love Park, which I don't mind, but someone might. Most of this noise is only audible if you are sitting near a window - the only exception is parades. The parade route goes right by this building, which can be a pro (if you want to see the parade without going outside and your window faces in the right direction) or a con if you want to sleep in on holidays.

Parking is ridiculously expensive - I would never use their parking, even if it is secure and run by valets - but they are so close to Suburban Station and several Philly Car Share pods that I can hardly imagine having a car. This isn't a con for us, but it might be for someone.

p.s. I almost forgot the gym. It's great!! And they just built a yoga studio as well, with the plan to start offering yoga classes in the Fall.
