Hi folks. I lived here for several years. Owned lots of real estate over the years, and still occasionally choose to live in an apartment (always close to work, and not having to buy or sell when wanting to move). I've come to a conclusion that most multi-unit property managers are women (or maybe guys, wishing they were). When you're speaking to them, it's their "hour of power", as they have control over you in a way nobody else can. And since you're "RENTING", you're obviously some kind of second class citizen, and they're going to treat you in the child-like fashion you deserve. And, maybe a lot of renters are the immature types that needed to be ruled by an iron fist - military dictatorship.
I'm certainly not saying this is how it should be. Most Management companies could probably do well with some sensitivity training - from the top down.
