River Loft Apartments

I've been here 2 years. Didn't move after my first year lease expired because I was traveling a lot and didn't have time or energy to look for another place.
I've had 2 floods and several leaks. The elevator has been "in repair" for weeks at a time.
Out of the 2 years that I lived here, 1-1/2 of those years the running machines didn't work. They just recently got new ones because so many people were begging for them to work.
The carpets are disgusting - obvious pet urine stains.
Management is a pain to deal with - they act like the tenant is asking for miracles.
What a shame because this building has a lot of potential. If they just took care of it, it would be a great place to live

The dogs there really are a pain. Much of the carpet was recently replaced because of urine. Of cousrse, the constant need for new carpet is just further justifcation to keep raising rents.
Also, for the longest time someone used to leave full dog poo bags near the exit door on 24th St. There is usually urine around that door too, inside and outside.
Much like the guy that wrote this review, I think the RiverLoft makes its money on grad students and commuters to New York who are all too busy to move out.
