I'm trying to get word out about the Ambassador to as many people looking to move here. I agree with those who say that it is a great deal -- moneywise -- for a big city. You're close to good restaurants, delis, Trader Joe's -- what could be better for such a low price' However, what leasing nor management tell you (and they are obligated legally to do so) is that there may be clanking pipes in your apt during the winter. One side of the building is worse than the other. We're moving out because the clanking wakes us up at least 3 times each night -- if you value your sleep, please beware. Oh and yes, we tried to get them to fix it, but to our faces, the management told us, such a fix is not within their budget. Basically, the comfort and basic needs (cuz sleep certainly is one of them) of their tenants don't fall within the budget. Rude and inconsiderate management, and everything operates on a shoestring. Be proactive, and ask them about these problems before you move in!

have you thought of buying earplugs? the clanking is not that bad (i barely even noticed it), and if you're going to live in the city you should expect some noise of some sort. i love this place, have been here 4 years, and have nothing but good things to say about the staff, who are all wonderful and attentive. perhaps your attitude is what caused them to respond as they did--i've never had any problems with them at all!

I, too, had a similar problem with the pipes. After months and months of complaining, I was told that it was too expensive to fix the problem. Management does NOT care about the tenants. I, too, have lived here for a few years and believe this place is not of high quality and should not be referred to as a "condo".
