I've been living in this building since April 2006, and so far I've had a mostly pleasant experience. I think it might be harder to rate these apartments since the condition of your unit and the response to any issues will probably vary by who the landlord is.

Building: My unit was renovated, and I think it is in much better condition than some of my friends' places that live in the same building. I'm guessing this would vary a lot, which could account for some negative posts. I've never had to use maintenance so I can't comment on that. I've never had rodents.

Noise: At first there was a lot of construction noise due to the conversions to condos, but I haven't noted anything annoying since last summer. I'm on the top floor, and occasionally I hear people in the hallways; I never hear my neighbors.

Heat: I agree with one of the previous posters that the heat can be way too hot, but I actually covered up some of the vents with insulation foam recommended by a guy at Lowe's, and occasionally run the air conditioner.

Safety: I used to live in a converted Victorian by Drexel, and even though there are a few bums in the area I feel a lot safer living in this building - it is well lit, there is always someone at the front desk, and there are always people in the lobby and in the streets. Some security guards are more helpful than others, but I've never had a negative experience with any of them.

Amenities: The fitness center is small, but everything is in good condition and I always find a few machines open when I go. There is a business center and study room - I don't use those but always see people in there. There are a lot of laundry machines (2 floors), I've never had to wait for a machine. I never park in the attached garage, but it is definitely convenient for weekend visitors.
