As I'm the first to admit that River West is definitely not the nicest building in Center City, I don't think that's what there claim is. Anywhere you live you're going to have issues, especially in the city. I've actually had quite a pleasant experience in this building. The price is great, the location is awesome, and the view is amazing (I know that doesn't pertain to all units, but it does to mine). I haven't had any major issues so my experience with management is limited, but my few experiences have been smooth. I love that rent covers all my utilities, so I only have one bill a month. Again the ammenities aren't the greatest in town, but for free I'm not complaining. I'm on an upper level floor so maybe rodents don't travel this high up, but I can honestly say I've never seen any. I can say, however, that I used to work in a very nice high rise in Center City and saw a rodent or two during my stay. It's the city and rodents do exist, so I'm not saying it's impossible that they're in our building, but that I've never seen one. I live across from the trash room and have never smelled it. I look at the trash room more as a convenience to be honest. You have to take River West for what it is. Those of you looking for an upscale Rittenhouse apartment are looking in the wrong building, but if you're looking for something affordable and something in the middle of the Center City mix, then this is your place. I like it here. I'm not in heaven, but I'm definitely not in hell living here. Just my two cents. Hopefully this can be helpful to someone. Thanks!
