A good place to live...like having your own house

Overall I was very happy living at Scotchbrook...in fact I lived there for 5 years. The layout is great & allows for tons of storage space. It was awesome to have a garage, 2 bathrooms, washer/dryer, and so many storage places! Maintenance was always lightening quick & efficient. The women who work in the office aren't the friendliest, but they do what needs to be done & have been there for years & years, so it's not like other complexes where you're always dealing with staff changes. It was quiet--we rarely heard our neighbors...no one seemed there to make friends, but neighbors were overall respectful & kept to themselves. Very peaceful, lovely view of the park behind us...On a negative note, insulation wasn't great & the living room was really cold in the winter no matter how high we turned up the heat. Utilities were expensive but rent was very affordable so it balanced out OK. Location was very convenient. Be careful though--we thoroughly cleaned our apt before moving out, and we took good care of the property, and we were still "billed" for things like cleaning, rug steaming, etc. which was deducted from our security deposit...it was ridiculous! But overall I'd still recommend Scotchbrook as a nice place to live. Be forewarned though--parking is terrible, esp late at night!
