Started out OK; degraded from there

I originally moved to Sherwood Crossing in 2000. The first year was excellent. However after that year I had a major leak from an overflowing washing machine in the apartment above. Maint. came in the middle of the night and cleaned up, and said they would come back the next day to fix it. I was not home the next day, and came home to find my living room ceiling caved in with 2" of water everywhere. Apparently the maint. 'tested' out the problems in the apartment above by running 2 washing cycles through - without checking if it leaked into my apartment.
That was the beginning of my leak problems. The same types of leaks occurred about every 6 months for a year, and by the time I moved out in 2004 I was having at least two major leaks a month (all caused by backed up pipes and overflow from appliances in the apts above - I lived on the ground floor). Each time maint. would 'fix' the problem (a real hacked - temp. fix that never really corrected the problem for long) and I was left with rotting wall boards and carpet. I was told they would be back to fix up that stuff but they would never return.
In the end I gave up and moved out. I feel sorry for anyone who has that apartment now.
