I lived at Sherwood Crossing for two and a half years, and ran into the same problem another person mentioned in their review. I had an older A/C unit that didn't hold a charge, and tried unsuccessfully for two summers to get it replaced. The management team insisted it needed to be charged... which I had done on eight seperate occasions. The property manager informed me that new units would be installed in the spring, so I waited it out, but unfortunately a new manager arrived and did not maintain that promise. She actually was quite rude about it and insulted my intelligence by asking if I was a certified HVAC technician. It doesn't take a technician to realize that when an air conditioning unit is blowing 82-degree air and the temperature outside is 83, that the unit simply is not working. This was the worst example of maintenance I have ever experienced after living in 4 different complexes. The area and apartments themselves are very nice, but this experience unfortunately ruined it for me, and as far as I can tell, many other residents.

I have written before, but just to tell you that they make alot of promises. We moved from there and we lived there for 3 years. We were suppose to get new windows last summer. Well from what I heard you just received them this spring and summer. I have written for people to stay away, but everyone has to learn their own lesson. Where I live now is wonderful. You should move before it even gets worse.

In response to marc1995...I too lived at Sherwood for 3 years and was also told new windows would be coming for about a year before I left in Aug 05. They never came. On several occasions during heavy downpores did I awake to what sounded like a waterfall in my bedroom. It was my window leaking. Sherwood's property manager Roxanne Hicks is extremely rude and shows no interests in fixing problems nor does she screen applicants very well. I was extremely happy at first and theny I felt like I lived in the hood. The quality of people living there went down and appliances never got replaced. I finally got a new dishwasher but that was it. I had a washer on the top floor bust and flooded my apartment and was leaking onto the an electrical unit and the answering service told me that wasn't an emergency and wouldn't page maintenance. Do not move here!!
