HUGE WATERBUGS AND EXORBITANT FEES! Might as well buy a house. I've been there since 2003. One big problem is the huge waterbugs. I have an exterminator every other week, which I hear they are now charging new tenants for. I believe the entire property is infested with these huge roaches. Next, I just received my lease renewal and they are now forcing the tenants to pay gas, heating, water, sewer, trash and as always electric. Oh, the amenities of having a workout room, faxing and communications center were free. Now, you have to pay for those things plus the pool and community room whether or not you use them. The fee is $150.00 per year. These extra charges will add approx. $150 monthly to my rent. Also, last year my rent went from $790 to $868 because they were "bringing me up to market". I thought this was unfair and I wonder if it was illegal. Then during the year, I saw a "Sale" on the Grand apartments "the same size as mine". They were renting for $790.00. Hmmm...not quite market rate. I don't like dishonesty and sneaking business dealings. I'm moving and would not recommend it to anyone else. You might as well buy a home if you're going to pay all of those fees. The apartment layout is not that great or spacious.
