So, I heard good things about Sherwood Crossing and decided to look for an apartment. Boy, was I fooled! Everything seemed nice at first. The staff was friendly and the apartments were so large and reasonably priced I was excited to move in. Then I did The apartment was in deplorable condition the day I moved in. The staff just surface "cleaned". The cabinets were all broken, sticky and turned a different color when wiped! The floors were dirty and you couldn't imagine what they did to the stove. Some idiot decided to paint the stove surface with white latex paint. So after the paint has scorched, nice chips randomly fall off when cleaned and quickly catch on fire when you cook.

All of this I could live with but, the INFESTATION is where I draw the line. After three months I still have roaches that are the size of my fist! Check out the pictures of my "little" (not!) friends. These critters are all over the apartment. In horror I called the office who sent an exterminator who told me that they were coming from the storage room next door. So he sprays, and I get to live picking up the dead roach corpses from around my apartment daily. I can't have anyone over for fear of a critter being seen!

Additionally, my apartment is HOT all the time. The heat is off but, it feels like a god damn desert in here! The neighbors suck, as one would regularly take her dog to the area right outside my door to take its daily dump and leave it there for me to clean up. There s nothing like the smell of ---- in the morning!

Lastly, I had a water pipe burst above my apartment; they left the damage unfixed for half a month!

On the plus side, parking is great, there's little noise and I have all the "friends" (roaches) I could ever want!

Where are you in the apartment complex. My experience is the complete opposite. When my washer smelled like it was burning, they came and fixed it. When my dishwasher broke, they came and replaced it. Maintenance came the day of the complaint to look at it, and everything was fixed within 48 hours of the initial complaint. You can always call Kristen the actual property manager. The other people are just leasing agents.

I even called and emailed corporate Morgan Properties and they just keep stringing me along! They tell me they'll call me back and never do. The exterminator comes and tells me he'll come again the next week and never does. I had a flood in the hallway two nights ago they send out a guy who says that it was caused by "condensation" on the pipes in the storage room and maintenance will send out a carpet cleaner. They didn't and my hallway smells like mold. They respond quickly, I'll give them that but no problem ever really gets fixed. Wait until the pictures post you'll see what I have to live with.

Wow. It doesn't even sound like your at the same Sherwood Crossings I reside at because like katia511 stated, my experience is the total opposite. I've never seen a roach. Whenever I have a problem, I call the office, they put in a ticket and someone is here within 24-48 hours. When I had an EMERGENCY, someone was here in 5-10 minutes. And parking is terrible. So everything is opposite for me and we have been here for 5 months. My apartment is in excellent condition. I can't even imagine a painted stove. Isn't that something you would have noticed during your walk through before you moved in? My hallway is always clean and and smells fresh due to the air freshner that squirts out on a timer. I have swept the steps once in my hallway since I've been here. I don't even know my neighbors. Everybody is doing their own thing and minding their own business. Very respectful and cordial in passing. Kristen is the property manager, she's nice and helpful and the leasing agents are ALL very friendly and helpful too. I have not had a bad experience to speak about. My only complaint would be parking. If you are not in the lot by 6pm then most likely you will be parking on the main street, which is not that bad either. I hope things get better for you and your experience becomes as wonderful for you as it has been for me.

I noticed that the stove seemed old and a bit off. The latex paint was new and a complete coat so I only noticed that it wasn't appliance paint the first time I used the stove and the paint turned brown. It's been peeling ever since. I figure why even bother reporting the stove when I can't get the roaches killed!?!? I don't know my neighbors either. Except for the one who would leave me a pile of ---- each day. I had to go out and buy dog repellant to get her to stop taking her dog over to me to do its business. I know how apartment living can be difficult. I know tenants are often rude, dirty and impossible to please. I'm not one of those tenants. I just want to live in an apartment that is ROACH FREE and worth what I pay each month. The staff are always friendly but they never follow up and get anything done about the roaches. I also forgot to mention the wonderful showering experience in my apartment. Everytime you take a shower the water turns, at random, to ice cold and then scalding hot. I've been burned and fallen multiple times. I now have to take a cold shower to avoid being burned. I called maintenance, they showed right up and did nothing to fix the problem. They also left a mess in my apartment. I dread calling the office because I really don't want to be a constant complainer but I just can't live like this. One thing after another this complex has been a constant disappointment. I can't wait until my lease is up!

I'm not one to complain but I had to respond to this. I totally agree with you. I moved in a month ago and I have had a problem with roaches. Disgusting! I had the small brown ones and the huge black ones. The exterminator has already been out twice. The hall stinks like mold, and I have stepped in ---- twice! I also do not have my heat on and I have to keep my sliding door and windows open all the time because it is like a sauna in here! I am burned frequently in the shower. Although, it must be an issue with apartment complexes since this happened all the time with the last place where I lived. Otherwise, my apartment is nice and things are quiet for the most part.

Reading these I cant help but laugh because we have been going thru the same problems! Every morning when I go to take a shower it goes from hot to cold and back again, right before we moved in they showed us a 2 bedroom apt which was beautiful so we went to sign the lease that day once we moved in over mouths dropped the bathrooms looked like crap out kitchen cabinets we painted so many times over that the magnet don't hold them shut you don't know how many time ive hit my head its like we like in the 6th sense house you turn around and they are open again our heat don't work we called them plenty of times and guess what 6 months later still no heat our closet doors fell off like 2 days after we moved in and we have still don't have them up bc every time we call they "just ordered them" there is mold spots coming up under our carpets and to top it all off the light fixture in the kitchen fell off not once but twice. There is a dead roach in out glass bulb in the hallway just chillin there and the water bugs wow they look like they are on steroids ive never seen them so friggin big they actually have knees haha we have a couple that lives above us that always throws food off their balcony and my dogs get into it daily and the lady across the way lets her dog do its business on our property all they time and when I do take my dogs for a walk im stepping is crap bc guess what people don't pick up after their animals. I am seriously thinking about getting out of this lease bc 1400 a month is too much for this dump
