Steer clear of this complex

I actually lived in Sherwood for 3.5 years, so out of all of these reviews, I've experienced it all. For starters, I lived on the first floor, and you can hear every single step or sound of the person above you. Secondly, throughout the whole time I lived there, never once did I use the heat. No matter how cold it was outside, it was 50 degrees warmer in my apartment. It wasn't strange to see my balcony door open when it was 20 degrees outside. The carpentry in my place was horrible. Nothing was level, there were cracks all over the walls, and I could actually see where the sheetrock was put in place b/c they didn't even spackle to cover up the sections. The biggest joke of all though had to be the shower. You could not take a normal shower in my apartment. A "normal" shower in my apartment would consist of scolding hot water every 30 seconds or so, so you would have to plan on pushing the head of the shower to the side in order to not get burned. When I brought this issue to the offices attention, they asked if I was taking a shower when other people in the complex had their water on!!! Are you serious''' We're in the 21st century and I have to worry about when my neighbors have their water turned on in order to take a normal 10 minute shower' Unbelieveable...
There are some good things about the apartment: Parking is available most of the time, maintenance & office staff were always courteous, and the backyard is perfect for dogs. But for your $$$, you can find a better apartment complex than Sherwood. Don't make the same mistake I did.

I think this is BULL because if it was this bad why would you continuously renew your lease and stay 3.5 years?????
Also, obviously you are a disgruntled ex-tenant and now that you no longer live at Sherwood Crossings, you want to post negative comments. You didn't post anything throughout your 3.5 years living at Sherwood Crossings, so why now????
I say this to possible tenants that read these reviews, please notice how the negative views always come after someone has moved out. DO NOT BASE your decision to move to Sherwood Crossings on NEGATIVE reviews. Do as we did (still happy living at Sherwood Crossing) and come visit and see for yourself!!!

Clearly, the above poster must work for the complex. I find it interesting how each time someone writes a negative review on this site, an immediate rebuttal is written by a tenant who is "thrilled" to live in this dump! If you would like to "come and see for yourself", feel free to stop by my apartment to see monster coackroaches, leaks galore and some of the worst repair work known to Philly!

For the top "JustMovedInTTT" post above: you are correct, I did live in Sherwood for 3.5 years. Actually, it didn't get bad til the end. Once they started to charge you for every single stinkin thing in that awful place, was when I realized how bad I was getting ripped off. And I wouldn't call myself a "disgruntled" tenant, I'm just advising people to look elsewhere before making the decision to move to Sherwood. Don't tell me that you can take a normal shower in your apartment. Or that your cabinets aren't crooked. Or that you don't have holes/leaks/cockroaches in your apartment. I did say some good things also about the place, but overall, find something else for the same amount of money.
