There are better apartments From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 7/20/2003 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003   I renewed my lease because it was around the time I finished with college, but I wish I hadnt. There seems to be a break-down in the tenant screening process as theyve seemed to let in anyone because they can pay. There is inadequate lighting in the parking lot. Dont take my word for it come, park and see for yourself. Anyone can get in, but turn on your highbeams otherwise you cant see. They claim that they are going to activate the gate, but they told me that when I viewed the property over a year ago. I guess the last straw was the stolen car that was set on fire in the parking lot. After talking with some neighbors, there is at least one car stolen a month. People ride through here like its I-95 with radios blasting. The apartments are not that large and if people are talking in the hallway or even close to the door you can hear them as if your door was open. I can hear the people below me run around. If its late or theyve annoyed me too long, I stomp on the floor and they settle down. If you havent guessed, these units are not soundproof. If your neighbor has a radio or tv too loud you will hear it or feel the vibrations from the bass. Don't believe them when they say that they are going to fix the window screens, it's been over a year and mine (and other tenants) have not been replaced. To be fair, maintenance is very responsive. However, I have heard horror stories about air conditioning issues. Heating/air unit are in the apartment and can be quite loud. This area has lots of bats, so don't be suprised when you see them at night. You can best believe, that I will move next year.
