UPDATE Mar 06: The Sterling has changed back to the old Security crew and life is so much better. The new security crew (which is the old company that was here over a year ago) is great, the staff are friendly and you are always greeted with a hello or good-bye. It doesn't take pulling teeth to get your package.

In addition to this, we have new windows! Before, I could hardly talk to my wife when loud cars were going by, but now you can hardly hear anything. Its wonderful.

Unfortunalely, its too late for us, as we are moving out now. However, if I wasn't looking to buy a home I probably would now stay at the Sterling after they have made the recent changes.

My wife and I have lived at the Sterling for almost 2 years now. The first year was great, and we had no issues and enjoyed living here. Based on reviews from residents that lived here, it seemed like a great place to live. It was, until early 2005 when a new security staff took over.

Here are the facts:
1) Security staff is rude, and often found sleeping
2) Trying to get a package that was delivered is like pulling teeth and often you are given an attitude.
3) Random 'new rules' signs are posted up at night and on the weekend when the building staff have gone home
4) When my wife was trying to bring in groceries one day (she was alone), she was told that she had to move her car immediately or it would be towed. What was she supposed to do with the groceries, leave them in the lobby'

Basically, everything is else great, the maintenance people are timely, the rest of the staff is wonderful but the security guards make living here unbearable. When our lease is up, we are getting out of here.

This review is absolutley correct in my opinion. The new security staff has really made it unbearable. This is my 7th and last year there. The front desk staff won't even take a maintenence request over the phone, say you have to put it in youself at the desk.

The complaints have paid off! The Sterling finally contracted with a new security company, and the personnel are incredibly friendly and astute. It's a pleasure coming home again.

I think this post is a fraud. How do I know? WHAT NEW WINDOWS? The company has NOT put in new windows yet. Yes the management office has soundproof windows but replacement has not started yet for the residents nor have the windows even come in that have claimed to be ordered. FRAUD post!!
