I'm writing with absolute disgust over the ways in which I have been treated by the Sterling's leasing office, management, and AIMCO. I have been a resident for four years and have never been impressed with the quality of the apartments nor the services at this building. As many, many other reviewers have pointed out, there are rats and cockroaches in the hallways and within apartment units. The hallway carpets are dirty, the elevators seem to be broken every other week, and I've been made late for work on countless days because the elevators are not working. The management does not seem to care. I have a friend who left her position as a leasing agent because of how horribly the building is managed and how unresponsive AIMCO is to the residents' needs, despite the corporation's alleged commitment to customer service. My motivation for writing this review is my most recent experience with the building management and AIMCO where I was treated absolutely horribly, an experience that I apparently share with many, many other people. My advice to everyone reading this review: DON'T EVEN CONSIDER RENTING FROM THE STERLING OR ANY AIMCO-MANAGED APARTMENT. Why' First, because of the horrible quality of the apartments, service, and management. Second, to show management and AIMCO that they cannot treat their residents as unimportant, and frankly, worthless people. The rats and cockroaches are another good reason not to rent.
