This is really the last straw. The A/C for the apartment has been broken down since 5pm this afternoon, it is now 12.50am and the problem has not been fixed. When I called the security, they could only say that the maintenance guy has gone home for the day and would only come in during noon the next day (probably it is Memorial Day weekend and no one wants to work).It seems like only 1 of the 2 generators for the apartment has been fixed. While the security staff are now enjoying the cool comfort at the front desk, residents like myself are now suffering from the heat and poor ventilation (cos the window only open up to 4 inches) in our wholly carpeted room.
There are a lot of problems with our unit in the past few years that we were here, and some of these problems also happen to other units in which our friends were residing. Our problems include:
1. bath taps that leak with water dripping out of the wall
2. warped and moist vanity cabinet at the bathroom
3. paper thin walls through which you can hear the loud music from the unit above
4. kitchen hood which never seems to ventilate the room
5. dirty carpets which were never replaced (even though the management promised us that they would do so before we move in)
6. backflow of dirty water from sink grinder
7. roaches
I've had enough of the security and maintenance staff too. When we called about a problem, the security even had a cheek to imply that the residents do not pay them their salaries so there is nothing that they can do to help us, as they only take instructions from the management. Even though we had given specific instructions for maintenance work to be carried our only when we were around, there were times when the maintenance guy came in when we were out. All in all, Sterling is a lousy and poorly managed apartment. Do not be fooled by their names.
