Downhill slide From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 2/22/2006 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2005   I lived in the sterling apartments for slightly over two years, through September of 2005. The first year and a half was great, with wonderful service, friendly staff. The last year was terrible. They've contracted with a new security company, most employees are extremely rude. In addition to that, I had problems with mice (multiple) and my A/C leaked massive amounts of water into my living room three different times in a two month period. Maintenance used to be great, but now they no longer have an emergency staff member on site. Parking is available with the garage, but make sure you're prepared for a few dings and scrapes despite the $240/month rent. Noise level varies - it's very quiet if there are no emergency vehicles. And of course, the floors closer to ground level are significantly noisier than those higher up.
