This works for a young student--as long as you have other friends...

Overall, not a bad place in my opinion. I'm 22 & lived here for a year as a full time Grad student.
The rent wasn't too high & I LOVED having all utilities included, except the cable didn't give us Comcast--I love local sports!
The fitness center is nothing great and gets very crowded before & after work hours.
Our initial leasing agent screwed us over by telling us the wrong date so we had to move in the day before school started instead of 2 weeks--fairly incompetent office staff.
The social events are a joke. Cheap, but that's all you'll find there--cheap, old people clutching onto their youth by drinking & partying like wanna-be college students. The quality of other tenants really was disappointing so after about 2 months we completely disassociated with their activities.
We never had any serious maintenance requests. We're still waiting for them to fix our bathtub faucet & bathroom sink from about 6 months ago....However, someone promptly came out on Memorial Day to fix our kitchen sink when it was clogged, so my feelings there are mixed.
Parking is also a joke, I'm almost always on the street, and our parking lot has been completely torn apart for months now!!! Seriously, you'd have to see it to believe it, but there's a 3' wide hole that runs the length of the lot, it takes up precious spaces & closed off the front entrance to the parking lot so now I have to drive around the block to come or go instead of having access right from the road.
I didn't have a job while I lived here so the Philly wage tax didn't apply, although there really are none of the alleged "perks of city living."
Overall it could be MUCH worse so I would recommend it. Just don't expect to come here to meet quality people b/c that's NOT going to happen.
