Yo!

Not great, but decent

I lived here while finishing school. It was the cheapest complex in the area, and it had 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom units, which was great.

It's fairly quiet and people are friendly. The unit was clean, newly painted, and had new cabinets and carpet when we moved in. Parking is adequate if you don't go out at night, but if you don't get home until after 10pm, chances are you have to create your own parking space.

The apartment walls are thin...I could hear what was going on downstairs (I was on the top floor) as well as in the hallway. Insulation between my unit and the one right next to me was pretty good though. The floors have a tendency to be squeaky. There is a draft that comes in from the windows and AC unit that you are responsible for taking care of.

If you are a student, you'll probably be treated like one by the staff. It seemed as though some tenants were better taken cared of than others. For example, it took almost a year for them to admit that my toilet was clogged and get maintenance to push a snake down there...they were telling me it was taking five flushes because of the drought'

The maintenance staff is not that great. The man who used to get mad because you didn't call sooner retired but the people who come now are lazy and incompetent. We had to make repeated calls to get them to fix things, and at one point, were told that an appliance actually needed to be replaced but that probably wasn't going to happen (it didn't while we were there). We got annoyed to the point where we made as few maintenance calls as possible and just put up with whatever was wrong.

The washing and drying machines in my building were old, and unless the load was really small, had a tendency to take at least two cycles to dry. I heard they have newer units in some of the other buildings.

There were a couple of problems with some cars without alarms getting broken into or stolen.

Snow removal was fairly prompt and decent.

Overall, I felt pretty safe here. It wasn't the perfect place to stay, but it was decent enough for the price, and for two students.
