Pros: relatively cheap; studio is a good size and the separate eat-in kitchen is a big plus. There's also a small room, too little to use for a bedroom, butr you can use it for storage and there are two closets in it, which is nice.

Cons: maintenance is unresponsive. Call-box doesn't work, and UPS can't get in, so I've had to schlep down to the UPS building several times to pick up packages (don't have a car, so it's a pain in the *ss). Heating is turned off a lot in the winter; complained to UCH but that was four months ago and nothing's changed - I had to buy extra blankets. Also I noticed mouse droppings on teh stove, so I called UCH about that problem but no one has come to do anything.

Similar problems with everything you mentioned above. I keep my apartment extremely clean and I'm very meticulous. I hate mice and bugs so I try my best to keep it clean...but it seems like no matter what I do it isn't enough as long as someone else nearby has a dirty apartment...the rodents will find a way into mine. UCH does nothing to fix this...and they still have the nerve to jack up their prices each year. I can't wait to leave.
