Awful.

It is difficult to describe just how bad University Crossings is. On first inspection, you would probably have the same reaction I had - wow, this place is really nice! The apartments are big, relatively new, and from the beginning look pretty nice. However, first time you lean against a wall, or open a door hard enough that it hits the stopper, you've got your first hole. The heating/air conditioning is AWFUL. I've lived here 8 months so far, and it HAS NOT WORKED the entire time. The elevators rarely work, for some reason, only 4 of the 10 are EVER active. When they do work, the lights are broken and they stink of urine. I fear doing laundry in the building - people have a tendancy to steal clothes, or turn the heat on your dryer down to 0, so that you waste the money you put in. The locks on the doors are pointless, a simple credit card or ID card will pop them right open. No problem - use the deadbolt! Wrong. These doors are made of some sort of wood pulp...apply enough force(which really is not very much), and the entire door will shatter. Rent is exceedingly high, and exceedignly inconsistant. I pay $1945/month, my friend, two floors below me, in the EXACT same layout, pays $1450. Not a bad deal for him, eh' The fire alarms do NOT STOP going off. I don't even leave anymore, if we ever have a real fire I'm in trouble.
The building does have a few saving graces. If you are a Drexel student, you can't beat the location. Maintainance, while slow, is all free, regardless of what the problem is. Most importantly...the manager, Melissa, is EXTREMELY hot.
