Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2005
I lived in UV for my first semester at Temple, which was luckily a Spring semester so my lease was only half a year because I took it over from someone else.
The apartment was new but really tiny and inconvenient for anything. I lived in a 4 bedroom 4 bath one and you could literally jump from your bed into your bathroom if you wanted to.
The walls were so thin that my nocturnal neighbors kept me up every night and were such dumb rich kids that they constantly got drunk and just stumbled into the wall over and over every night.
The key cards are a joke, and theyre easy to forget to bring with you if youre used to carrying a set of keys. At many times I sat in the middle of the courtyard waiting for anyone to walk into my building so I could creep behind them and get in without my card, which sometimes took 20 minutes or so.
The electric bill there was insanely high and the heating and a/c was real uneven. My roomates with the smaller rooms would be cold, but since every room only had 1 vent, my room would still be warm....so if they shut the a/c off....I had to sweat or vice versa.
Honestly for like $800 a month, youre better off living somewhere off campus. Living on campus really was the ONLY advantage.
