I've been living in UV for three semesters now, entirely because of its location on-campus. My experience hasn't been so good. Here are the pros and cons I've found during my time here:

Pros:
-Short walk to class
-Safety: I have never felt unsafe in the building, or seen any crackheads wandering around. Although, I might feel different if I had lived on the first floor facing this empty lot on Cecil B. There are no bars on the windows, so if you have your window up, anyone could slash the screen and come right in
-You can have your own (tiny) bedroom and bathroom if you're willing to pay out the ass for it
-I have never seen roaches or anything, but my roommate saw a mouse in her room once

Cons:
-Outrageously expensive. They can pretty much charge whatever they want because there's no competition in the surrounding area. The rent just increased again--$750 a month, PLUS utilities!
-Cheap furniture and appliances. Our kitchen chairs are all broken, my dresser drawer is busted, the carpets are disgusting. Our fridge stopped working three separate times last year, and the management kept saying it was our fault. It took them weeks to replace it, and even then, the new one had no ice maker
-Rude, lazy staff. They act like they're doing you a huge favor when you ask them a question. They don't even give out package slips anymore. You have to go down and look at a bulletin board. Half the time, they don't even give out utility bills...you just have to telepathically know when your bill is due, I guess
-Guest policy. You can only have 5 guests at a time, and they all must leave ID with security. I do not pay this much rent to feel like I'm living in a dorm again
-They will give you a fine for whatever they feel like. I got a fine and a threatening letter for an incident over which I had no control
-You can hear everything your roommates are saying/doing, as well as your neighbors. Absolutely no sound insulation

All in all, it's in a great location in regards to Temple campus, but the cons far outweigh the pros. Take your money and look elsewhere.
