I love Upsal Gardens because since it's an older building, there a lot details in each apartment that cannot be reproduced. For instance, my first apartment had built-in cabinets that divided the kitchen and the breakfast nook. Others I've seen have cedar closets. On the other hand, it's an older building w/older plumbing and heating systems. They've been "changing" these systems for that past 1 1/2 yrs and still the heat is iffy on cold, cold nights. We've never had problems w/the water. These apartments can be pricey but they include all utilities, which is a BIG plus for me. Maintenance is prompt and effective with repairs 8 times out of 10. However their pest control efforts aren't very effective.

My main and BIGGEST complaint is the manager, Cheryl. She can be very rude when there isn't anything in it for her. If you're trying to move into another apartment, she's all sweetness. Otherwise, it's ----- central.

This is a very family friendly place and very --- friendly too. It's also gorgeous on the outside when all the vines get green in the spring. I recommend it.
