Yes, Cheryl is a horrible person that will verbally abuse you and make you feel like the mold growing on the walls. However, she is the least of your worries.
1. I've developed asthma after having no serious allergy problems. My allergist said it was most likely from excessive inhalation of allergens like MOLD.
2. I was not aware of the deaths that have occurred here throughout the years until I read other reviews. However, for almost a month, the ground floor of my building smelled like a rotting carcass. To make things even scarier, there are large blow flies that seem to like living here. Blow flies are known to feast on dead animals! OH MY GOD. http://greennature.com/gallery/flying-insect-pictures/bottl you can see at least 20 of them hanging out in the hallway of each floor.
3. When walking to from the lot to you apartment WALK FAST if it's dark. Some lights go on and off with no rhyme or reason and a couple of people were mugged. Windows have been smashed. Apartments have been broken into.
4. I'm on the second floor and my kitchen floods when it rains. How does this happen'
5. Do you like being uncomfortably hot in the winter' We sleep with our windows open in the winter because heat is not regulated and it gets CRANKED every night. We're talking like, temperature in the mid-80s and it gets muggy and gross.
6. Do you like being waken up at 5:30-6 AM on a Saturday' Well good! the dumpsters get emptied around that time and not only do you hear the slamming of the trash into the truck but you hear the truck's reverse beeps for like 10 minutes.
7. I saw my cats playing hockey with a roach the size of clothes pin.
8. Our cats love us. How do we know this' Because they always give us dead mice presents.
9. My neighbor to the right had pasta for dinner last night. My neighbor upstairs has a colicky baby. My neighbor on the left LOVES Kelly Clarkson. My neighbor downstairs has rough sex. If you move in, we'll hear everything you do.
10. I got stuck half way between the basement and the first floor in the old elevator.
11. If you come home late, plan to park on the street. Spots fill up quick. It also doesn't help that management doesn't enforce their permit-only policy. I have never seen anyone get towed for not having a permit.
12. My ceiling is chipping and falling onto the floor.
13. My kitchen is in serious need of a facelift. Counter trim is coming undone. Tiles are worn and broken.

However, it is a beautiful space. It's close to everything and utilities are included. This still doesn't outweigh my cons.

Oh you poor poor person! Reading this sounds like I wrote it myself! The wife and I high-tailed it out of there like you wouldn't believe! She has asthma, so that place really rocked her. We basically lived in out bedroom for the last 3 months we were there as a cause of winter heat/dead mice/roaches/many respiratory problems. Oh God I feel your pain, I would buy you a beer any day of the week. Document everything, take pictures like crazy, get doctors notes, keep proof of everything you are going through! We did, and it helped us in the end. Best of luck my friend, best of luck, and God speed thee out of there...

Omg this person is absolutley right that building is gross the stuff holes with steel wool thats not gonna solve the problem. They really need the health department to step in but they won't cause that nasty ----- of a manager won't as long as her apartment is fine she dose not care. Her place has everything brand new while people in there have cabinets falling of the wall piss leaking down from other tenants i know cause i used to live there im so glad i left that horrible place....... beware do not move here.
