Glad to finally understand this web site!

I've read reviews on this site for several years now and often wondered if places were as horrid as described...I often wondered how certain buildings hadn't been condemned based on the conditions - as described by reviewers. Finally I live in a building that has been reviewed, and I now realize that there seems to be an inordinate amount of absurd people in the world (not that I wasn't previously aware of that - just wasn't sure of the concetration on this site).
I was the third person in this building and have lived through it all over the past 15 months. While I won't discount some of the issues raised, I also would refute some of the idiocy displayed herein - parking's impossible' There are no less than ten (10!) parking garages and lots within 4 blocks of this building, ranging in price from $95 / month...and yes, normally, if you leave your car in a paid parking lot for more than 30 minutes, it can get towed...that seems fairly logical, no' Actually, if you just let the door staff know, they tend to be fairly accomodating. I will say that Phila Mgmt, which is voluminously documented on this site already, has it's challenges, from unconcerned rental agents and building managers, to less-than-competent maintenance staffs. And yes, it seems amazing that one of two elevators is out of service almost every day, despite the fact that this is a brand new building...but 20 minute waits''' The building's 8 floors tall - you've described a physical impossibility. All in all, the building, now that it's done, is actually quite attractive, fairly well located and my 1000 sq. feet of loft space for about $1000, with original HW floors and 12' ceilings is the best deal I found in town, and I looked at places for months.
My apologies to those of you that make valuable contributions to this well-intended site - it's the rest of the hysterical types that I'm addressing - can we try toning down the prima donna a bit so we all get a more accurate view of the apartment landscape in Philly' Appreciate it! gkZ41df9CgXQPfm8K2A7

Thank you for the review above. You've been living there another year or so (I assume). Do you have anything to add or change to your entry on 1/5/2006? Thanks! |

I am looking for apartments here in this building as well. I liked the exterior and inside it's ok. How is the parking situation nowadays there? Also, any idea, how safe the general area is - I mean, just outside the building, can you walk in the late evening/night hours? One more question, any idea on how bad the traffic gets here?
