I lived at this property ( 601 W. Cliveden Street/Cliveden Hall) for 5 years from 2002- 2007. The new management took over 2 years ago- and the place went severely downhill from there. Utilities were supposed to be included, yet I NEVER had heat in the winter and very rarely had hot water. My ceiling caved in 4 TIMES since I lived there, damaging much of my property, and they did nothing about it. There are mice, roaches, and the management had no screening process while accepting applications so pretty much anyone could be your neighbor. My last month living in the apartment, the power kicked out and was only able to be fixed by flicking a switch in the basement which I did not have access to. I promptly called management/maintenance about the issue because it affected the power to my fridge and my food was going to go bad. I explained that it needed to be fixed ASAP and they said they would have it taken care of. I left town for two days only to come back to a steaming hot fridge full of spoiled food! I called the management several times and he would not call me back. After over a month of messages, I finally heard back from him, and he was VERY rude on the phone and refused to reimburse me for my loss! I am now taking them to court. This is the thanks I get for being a loyal tenant who always paid my rent on time for 5 straight years. DO NOT RENT FROM THE SLUMLORDS! Spread the word!
