Do yourself a favor and stay away from these apartments

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2008
I have lived at the Wayne Manor for almost two years now, and I cannot wait until my lease is up. If you are considering moving here, there are a few things you are going to want to consider first.
1) The building and everything in it is old and very poorly maintained. My bathroom ceiling has collapsed twice, both my sinks have broke, my shower has broken several times, as well as many other problems. Also, their solution for everything is to just put another layer of paint on everything, so the all white trim, doors, cabinets, etc, get dirty very quickly and are a pain to clean. The wood floors have some cheap laminate layer that they put on before someone moves into their apartment, that just peels right off leaving your wood floor looking forever disgusting.
2) Consider yourself lucky if you can get any type of maintenance done without having to call the office 100 times. There is one maintenance person for 3 different buildings that Wadsworth Community Properties owns. Within those 3 complexes there are approximately 150-250 apartments.
3) The washers and the dryers in the laundry room are consistently broken. I went to do laundry one day and 2 of the 4 washing machines were broken as they had been for a few weeks, and they actually had the audacity to raise the price on the machines, and not even fix the ones that were broken.
4) It is convenient being right next to the Tulpehocken Septa station, however do not under any circumstances leave your car parked back there overnight. It will either be stolen, broken into, or as I have seen twice in less than a year lit on fire.
5) If you get any packages delivered good luck. For a while they were holding them in the office, and just letting them build up for weeks before even attempting to get them to the apartments they belong to. Also the intercoms either are broken or someone always seems to rip down the intercom list, so if you are getting anything delivered from UPS or FedEx chances are you will end up having to go to the hub to pick up your package.
6) Car alarms go off outside constantly. I've even asked a couple of the other tenants if it would be possible to lower the sensitivity on their alarms, which they all laughed at me. All it takes pretty much is for a truck to drive by on the street and the alarms will be set off.
7) You have no control over the heat in the winter unless you completely shut off a radiator. Other than that they pretty much don't turn on the heat unless its below 35 degrees. Once it is on however the apartments get blisteringly hot and uncomfortable.
8) They have tried to raise the rent on me twice in the 2 years that I have been there, and I have an excellent payment history with them. This really wouldn't upset me however they are still advertising the apartments for less than what I pay as a good tenant.
9) You are very close to Chelten Ave. If you enjoy getting asked for money, dodging stray bullets, or playing in large piles of garbage I wouldn't even go near it. Unfortunately it all trickles down into this area, so I would also consider safety as being an issue here.
Just don't make the mistake of moving here. There are far better properties in the area that run about the same rate. If you want to take your chances, go for it, but do not say that you were not warned!
