Not the fanciest (or most expensive) building in Center City, but the basics are covered.

The doormen tend to be on the friendly side. The manager is a bit overloaded (since she is responsible for both renting and management) but seems to do her best under the circumstances. The building seems reasonably well built.

The only real negatives are fairly minor:

*The basement is serviceable but kind of icky; I have seen a dead roach or two there, but (more importantly) have never seen a live roach either in the basement or the units).

*Inadequate stairways. There are fire stairs from outside, but no stairs from the lobby. This means that you can't get upstairs without using the elevator (thus creating commuting nightmares if both elevators don't work; fortunately this never happened while I was there, and for all I know it has never happened, period.) and that you can't get downstairs without using the elevator unless you want to activate an alarm, which is kind of annoying for all concerned.

All in all, if you want a doorman building on Rittenhouse Square for under four figures, this is a pretty good bet.
