I might have loved to live here, but I'm so unimpressed with the management company, there's no way I'm signing a lease here.



?I believe any good management company should fairly disclose what a prospective tenant might expect to pay in heat and utilities. I saw the property over the weekend and was impressed by the size and look of the townhomes and the sundecks. I called to ask some basic questions and see when I could look at it. I learned the buildings were heated by electricity, but the management company?s representative couldn?t (or wouldn?t) tell me any sort of ballpark average for monthly electric bills.



?You can't give me any idea of what one tenant?s electricity bill might be in any given month'? I asked. ?That?s right,? he responded. ?Tenants pay their own electricity, so we have no idea what it costs.?



Then, in the next breath, he tells me about a special the company is running. Sign a lease and move in by month?s end, and the management company will pick up three months of my electricity bills, up to $200. Huh'



?So you are telling me that you don?t have any idea how much electricity costs in any of the units on any month, but you are willing to foot the bill for my electricity for three months if I sign a lease now'?



?That?s right.?



Forget it? You lost my business.

200 would never make it 3 months. it would pay only 1 month. electric is very high here. i was told by Sue in office that it would be around 60 a month

It sounds like Sue is damned if she says and damned if she doesn't ... heat and A/C is a very personal thing and my A/C over the summer ran approximately $125 running it about 71 for a 3 bedroom. Nothing wrong with that!
