I lived in Eland Downe for almost 2 years. There were good things and bad things about the place and I'd like to share my opinion of both. The good thing (at first) was the amazing office manager who was extremely sweet and very helpful. She always let me know when the maintenance guys would be in my house so that I could lock my cats up. Unfortunately, she was let go and the woman there now is the complete opposite. Another good thing was the space and the gorgeous deck, which was a selling point for me when first renting. Unfortunately, the railing on my deck now is falling off and the nails are all coming up. They were redoing most of the decks, but I guess they haven't made their way towards my section yet. Another nice thing were some of my neighbors. Unfortunately a lot of students from UTI have moved in and they treat the place as their frat house with constant loud cars, loud music, and drunkenness (most of the time, underage.) I have a pet unit but *sigh* unfortunately, it costs an additional $80 a month for a small cat. I should have a monkey swinging from the lamp shades for that amount of money each month! The maintenance team is great as far as sending someone out and fixing things on time. I know you're waiting for an "unfortunately" on that one, but that's actually a good thing all around! I'd like to say that the management in the office is responsive to any concerns (as they should be) but that just was not the case and inevitably, the reason I moved. If you're lucky enough to live near the manager, then it'll surely be a quiet, well kept part of the development. Unfortunately, I was overlooked and disappointed.
