The Real Truth

I work in the industry at a different property. As with the employees at Eland Downe we to are restricted from commenting on review sites. Since I live at Eland Downe and do not work for them I will shed some light on apartment living and these review sites.

1. If your lease is not renewed it is because you don't pay your rent on time, or the office has received to many complaints from your neighbors. The property will not take a chance on losing any good residents because of bad residents. Just as a tenant can choose not to renew their lease for any or no reason, so can a Pennsylvania landlord.

2. I have talked to the office staff over the past 3 years I've lived here. This property is always full. The maintenance staff has barely enough time to get the townhomes ready for the next resident. So If you managed to move into your townhome during the first week of the month, thank the employees of the property rather then complaining something wasn't fixed. They went out of their way to accommodate your moving plans and this is how you repay them. I hate this at my property we go out of our way to help residents move in early and all they do complain,.... go buy a house.

3.Yes it's nice that their are websites out there where you can express your opinions, however before you mention names(which are a user violation) of these sites, think what if someone commented on your performance to the world, AT YOUR PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT! Because it's the internet we can't do anything about it but it still can have negative effects on families. Remember you don't have to live there "mycivicisbetterthenyours". Genius.

4. Commercial vehicles, are never allowed on a well maintained community. This isn't the city and or the Fast and the Furious. You do not own these properties. The managers oversee the private properties for the owners. They take the interest of all the residents in mind when making decisions.

5. I love the property I work at, however they do not allow dogs. As many properties do not. I moved to Eland Downe because of several reasons. NOT AN APARTMENT, it's a townhome. Pet units, location, and nobody below or above me. I know the manager is tough but I don't mind for when somebody moves in that fights all the time, has parties, or loud hobby cars stickered with sponsors all over them, they will do the right thing and "NON RENEW THE LEASE".

6. Nothing is perfect and everything is relative. Some people complain about everything. Good men and women are dying overseas everyday and stupid people complain about stupid things. Eland Downe is not perfect but it is a nice place to live. Come and visit and see for yourself.

7. Ok the property. Yes it needs work, but the grass is cut every week. When it snows it looks like Penndot around my house. They are putting in new decks, which are the biggest of any rental property I've ever seen.
It does have a community atmosphere. There's an indoor year round pool. They just built a new fitness room. They have basements and some spiders, oh wait every basement in the northeast have spiders.
There is a playground that needs some work but the kids don't seem to mind they're always there. The trash area does pile up but it's better then having dumpsters everywhere. My job in Malvern is 7 minutes away, yes I have a 15min a day commute.
I can also get to the King of Prussia mall in 15minutes. My neighbor works at Vanguard and has a shorter commute then me. The maintenance staff is really fast. They always come the same day. My dog loves all the other dogs here. Theres always people walking around. There are street lights throughout the property. I always have a parking spot in front of my door. The best thing at night it's quiet.

WOW....several 5 out of 5 reviews in a row. HMMMM!!!!Your lease can be "not renewed" for any reason including management doesn't like you. Management does not have to give a reason for non renewal so you really can't say the reasons you gave are why a lease won't be renewed. If the property is ALWAYS full, why are there "NOW LEASING" signs in front of the property????? Looks like PENNDOT when it snows? I love when you guys use that term. Just because a management company is restricted from posting reviews does not mean they don't do it!!!!! Community atmosphere??? Are you kidding? Have you noticed the signs that prohibit a lot of community like activities? Or have you heard about when a tenant will get a nasty note from the office because they had the nerve to not sit in their house all day and not be seen??? Their kids actually want to go outside and play, ride bikes, play ball, skateboard, etc and not sit around getting fat. I know your reply will be that my kids must be brats and deserve complaints blah blah. Say what you want, Eland Downe doesn't want children to be children. Strange how when a reviewer writes a detailed negative review, they are accused of being bored, having too much time on their hands, etc. Seems odd to me that a tenant would care enough about what another tenant would say that they would name call or insult another reviewer/tenant.Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and it has been my experience that some of ones own opinion comes from personal experience. Just my opinion! mycivicisbetterthanyours is absolutely right when he/she says that names being mentioned in a positive light are ok.Once management sees that their names were mentioned in a negative way they report the review. Naming names is a terms of service violation either way, isn't it? Worst management company I have ever dealt with. VERY unprofessional.....in MY opinion.
