I have lived here for several years. When my friend was transfered to the area, I recommended Eland Downe. Unfortunatly the office informed her there was nothing available at the time. While she was looking for a place to live, she came across this website. After my friend informed me regarding the complaints posted here, I was suprised that people were not happy here. I have lived at several rental apartments and every one has it?s pros and cons.



I should mention that Eland Downe has no apartments but only townhomes. Which makes me feel at home.I believe anyone looking for a place to live, and we all have our horror stories, would find this property not that bad. Yes it?s true that there is only one designated trash area and it does pile up on the weekends,however I never found dumpsters very appealing, Every spring time they spray for weeds, plant flowers, and mulch the property, yes it?s not perfection but the effort is noticed and I feel my rent actually goes towards somthing. The grass seems to be cut every week, even if it doesnt really need it. As far as the maintenance staff they seem to be professional,and courteous. The sevice has been prompt and complete. At christmas time the grounds are decorated and when it snows the parking lots are plowed before the city roads. I have not had many dealings with the office, I don?t consider myself a complainer, but they seem to be nice. I also have a dog and when I was looking for a place to live there was very
few options in this area. There is alot of improvments going on regarding roofs,windows,sidewalks etc. and it is somewhat of a bother.As far as the parking situation, I have also had problems and had to contact the office, however they seem to remedy the situation.
